AMD Ryzen 5 3500u Processor, Review, Benchmark: With a combined power consumption of approx. 15W and integrated Vega graphics, AMD has launched a new second-generation Ryzen 5 3500U mobile processor. According to AMD, this processor is optimized for small notebooks and is ideal for both work and leisure.

The Zen + microarchitecture (APUs Picasso), which generates the new feature, has enabled a 3 per cent improved percentage per cycle output on the same power consumption compared with first-generation processors.

There are four machine cores in the Ryzen 5 3500U which can accommodate eight threads simultaneously. In nominal overclocking mode, the operating frequencies of new products are 2.1 GHz and can be raised to 3.7 GHz. The DDR4-2400 standard supports optimized dual-channels memory management. The core of the L2 cache is 512KB, the common L3 cache 4MB.

With regards to architectural shifts, Picasso is unlike his contemporaries on the construction of the Raven Ridge. As like i5 the i7 has also support for dual-channel storage and memory control which enables it to support DDR4/LPDDR3 memory sticks too. Intel uses the same Skylake microarchitecture for all the 8th gen SoCs and i7 is also listed. 

The i7 – 8550U output depends on some variables and that helped it to achieve a higher position in many benchmarks. The average i7 is as fast as the 35-Watt i5-7440HQ for our daily benchmarks. The high Turbo Boost frequency makes it easy to produce one of the best CPU results for a single thread output.
