Security fixes in the update address vulnerabilities in AppleTalk, CoreGraphics, CoreFoundation, DiskImage, IOKit, macOS Server, MySQL, QuickLook, and WebKit.

The update is available through the Mac App Store, Apple Software Update, or through the Software Update control panel in the MacOS settings. Apple also released new macOS High Sierra benchmarks.
Benchmarks released today show that macOS High Sierra is faster than its predecessor, macOS Sierra.

The latest Metal 2.0 benchmarks show faster graphics performance, including 36 percent faster graphics performance for Adobe Premiere Rush and 38 percent faster graphics performance for Autodesk Maya. Apple also published new GPU benchmarks that show up to 78 percent faster graphics performance for Adobe Photoshop CC, 55 percent faster graphics performance for Adobe Lightroom, and 40 percent faster graphics performance for Adobe After Effects.

The macOS High Sierra update also includes new wireless display improvements, including support for Miracast and AirPlay 2 on macOS High Sierra. Apple also announced that macOS High Sierra will feature an integrated dark theme.
